WHERE IS SURFLINE RHODES LOCATED?

The center is on the west coast of sunny Rhodes, just 3km away from the new town of Ixia. The first hot spot coming from Rhodes town and the perfect place to have your dreamy sunset sessions.

WHICH MONTHS ARE THE BEST TO VISIT SURFLINE RHODES?

The best months are typically between May and October! During the summer months, the wind constantly blows at 15 – 25 knots.

ARE YOU OPEN ALL YEAR?

Surfline Rhodes is open from April to October. The regular opening hours are from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm, seven days a week.

WHAT SEVERNE GEAR CAN YOU RENT? 

At Surfline Rhodes, you will find over 60 boards! Going from 250 liters beginner boards to the highest level Pro models. The SEVERNE boards that you will be able to rent in any size are: 

• Dyno 
• Pyro

The SEVERNE sail range includes everything for those making their first steps into windsurfing. For the intermediate and advanced riders, the center covers sail sizes from 3.0 up to 8.4. The available SEVERNE sails are: 

• Synergy 
• Blade 
• TurboGT

All sails rig on the specifically designed SEVERNE masts and booms for ultimate performance.

WHAT CONDITIONS DOES THE SPOT OFFER? 

Rhodes is well known for perfect wind conditions during summertime!
The Meltemi wind is blowing side–onshore (west – Southwest). From morning to midday, the conditions are perfect for beginner and intermediate windsurfers. The wind is calm, and the sea is mostly flat. From 12 o´clock onwards, the wind is gradually picking up to 15 – 25 knots. As the wind improves, the waves pick up and set the perfect scenario for advanced windsurfing!

FOR WHICH TYPE OF RIDER IS THE SPOT MOST SUITABLE? 

From morning till midday, it is perfect for beginners and foil-addicted riders! From midday to sunset, the conditions are perfect for Freestyle, Slalom, and Freeride.

DO YOU OFFER CLINICS AND LESSONS?

We offer private and group lessons for windsurfing and wingfoiling.

DO I NEED TO BRING MY OWN WETSUIT AND HARNESS?

Included in our pricing, we offer free use of wetsuits, harnesses, rescue service, and helpful advice for each windsurfer to get the perfect equipment! No problem changing the board and sail size. For an additional fee, Surfline offers photo and video services or insurance.

WHICH WETSUIT DO I NEED?

For April and May, a long wetsuit that is 3-4mm thick is best suitable. From June to October a shorty is recommended. Or at least long sleeve lycra for sun protection. We offer long and Shorty wetsuits.

DO YOU PROVIDE ACCOMMODATION?

No, but you will find any accommodation you need nearby. Ranging from 3 stars to the most luxurious 5-star hotels, Rhodes offers accommodation for all. Only breakfast, half board, or all-inclusive, your needs are fulfilled.
