New spot on the map in Tenerife offers the full Severne experience
The world’s first full Severne experience center on the island of Tenerife has reopened its doors after months of coronavirus lockdown. Launching just in the face of a pandemic deprived this new center the opportunity to establish itself on the world map. With PWA Slalom World Champion Matteo Iachino as one of the driving forces behind this new location and more top windsurfers of the world collaborating to provide top level service, we are bound to see lots of exciting things from this team in the future. Here is a guide to everything there is to know about Surf Hub Tenerife
Situated just upwind of the world-famous “El Cabezo” in El Médano, which also hosts a yearly PWA World Cup, you’ll find Surf Hub Tenerife offering access to “La Jaquita” which is an easy-going spot with constant wind and plenty of elbow space to practice windsurfing, foiling and surfing. This spot generally allows you to avoid the more crowded spaces of the main spots which all are within a short downwind reach.
Severne experience center
Surf Hub Tenerife is among the premier Severne centers in the world offering top of the range products such as Blade Pro and S-1 Pro sails along with RDM Red masts and Enigma carbon booms. You will also find the full Severne board range including Nano, Mako, Dyno and Fox boards to cover everything from hardcore wave to freeriding. You can also find Severne accessories in their store. The center and the surrounding area is set up and managed by experienced windsurfers to guarantee the best service and experience.
“To provide you with the best possible windsurf experience in the Cabezo area, you need the best gear and a large selection of boards and sails. Severne provides equipment of the highest standards in the industry and is, therefore, the right partner for Surf Hub. Together we push the level of windsurfing holidays.”
As Surf Hub Tenerife has reopened, activities are picking back up and we can look forward to some interesting events throughout this season and many to come.
As of now, clients of Surf Hub Tenerife can book one on one coaching with 2015 PWA Freestyle World Champion Dieter Van der Eyken who is a part of the Severne and Surf Hub team. This is a unique opportunity to get coaching into any windsurfing move you desire.
With its location just at La Jaquita bay, there are also perfect surroundings or learning surfing, stand-up-paddling and similar sports.
