Engineered for performance, the NCX defines the no-cam freerace catagory.More than just race inspired, the 020 NCX takes design components directly from the Mach1 race sail to upgrade 3 main areas;  Speed.  Power.  Stability.Drag reduction was the key to increasing speed.  AERO-LINE battens and Mach1 twist patterns dramatically improve the aerodynamics and make the 020 NCX the fastest ever.More Power.  Deeper profiles below the boom generate more horsepower that you can feel. Increased back hand pressure enables instant acceleration when you want to light it up.Stability has been further improved by adding skin tension and reworking the batten skeleton to lock the power low and forward. The result is incredible control and impeccable handling.  Combined with the shock-absorbing properties of a no-cam sail, this means a huge wind range.

SEAMLESS HEAD PANEL

This high abrasion area is made from only 1 panel and does not carry any exposed seams, preventing any potential weak point in this area. As a result, seam creep and seam-related failure have been eliminated.

DROPPED CLEW

The Dropped Clew allows for the reduction of boom and luff lengths; reducing the swing weight, increasing stability and promoting manoeuvrability.

STABILIZOR PANEL

A key component in stabilising the leading edge, the STABILIZOR PANEL is a panel of thicker 188 Monofilm. This material has minimal stretch in all directions and enables the high skin tension to create a very rigid profile for instant acceleration and maximum wind range.Another benefit of the low stretch properties of 188 Monofilm is that the designed sail shape is maintained for longer as there is less long term stretch. This is pretty important as there are high downhaul loads which can cause most race sails to lose their original shape quickly.

3&4 ROLLER TACK PULLEY

Roller tack pulleys are matched to the sails downhaul requirements and aligned for friction free downhauling and threading ease. Rig your sails with the Severne Hardware Division extensions for function and simplicity.

Protects your board from impact and neatly covers the foot detailing. It incorporates the rope stash pocket for easy storage of your downhaul rope.

MOLDED SOFT EDGE

MOLDED SOFT EDGE

With recessed grooving, covering any vulnerable stitching the moulded soft edge encloses the hard edge long the foot of the sail and protects the stitching from wear along the board non-skid.

SpiderFibre on the leech of the sail massively increases the perimeter strength and inhibits vertical stretch between the sail panels.

EM4 HIGH LOAD LAMINATE

Based on the proven eM3 platform, the high load eM4 material features twice the amount of X-Ply fibre and increased film thickness to maximise durability. This new material allows weight reduction whilst maintaining puncture resistance and tear strength. Used in the lower impact zone in the sail.
