The month of January 2020 has been a special one for Severne. The worlds’ first-ever Severne center opened its doors. And what better location than El Medano in Tenerife.

On Saturday the 18th of January 2020, Surf Hub Tenerife welcomed its first visitors for an opening party. It was the culmination of a long period of hard work in setting up a newly built unique and spacious location sporting one of the most impressive ranges of Severne boards and rigs in the world.

With its location just upwind of the famous Cabezo, this spot offers great freeride and freewave conditions. And for those wishing to challenge themselves more, Cabezo is just next door.

One of the driving forces behind Surf Hub Tenerife is 2016 PWA Slalom World Champion and 2019 PWA Slalom Vice World Champion Matteo Iachino.
Matteo himself had this to say for the opening of his first ever center:

“Its a pretty big step in my life besides my professional windsurfer career and I m really excited to announce it to you now!
I m opening my new Windsurf Center in Tenerife! It s gonna be at the beach right upwind Cabezo. Fully equipped Severne and ready to welcome all of you from January 2020! We will have all the top wave, free wave and free ride gear waiting rigged and ready! The spot is perfect for any discipline with a beautiful beach to launch from and free ride free wave conditions right in front while the wave spot is just 200 meters downwind”
