SOL DEGRIEK
THE LOWDOWN
I am Sol Degrieck, I have green eyes and long arms. My passion is windsurfing. Sharing this passion with my friends is the best all together! That’s where competition comes in…
At 11, I was the youngest girl ever to jump and land forward loops! I competed in the PWA Youth World Cup, where I finished 4th in the combined U20 category. At the age of 12, I got the chance to compete in PWA main Event in Pozo, I took the opportunity and won my very first heat against the current Vice World Champion. I got second in Pozo 2022 in my age group and ninth place overall.
2023 and the Unified tour brought me to even more exceptional places. Ho’okipa Maui, Clouidbreak Fiji and Pacasmayo Peru, In Peru I ended up on the podium in the pro-woman division. Can’t wait to share more waves in all those amazing places, with all those amazing windsurfers!
