NO WIND. MAXIMUM STOKE.
When 1,400 windsurfers rock up to Gruissan expecting a 40km battlefield and Mother Nature delivers flat calm instead, it’s time to show what you’re really made of. SEVERNE stepped up.
REVOLUTION HQ DEPLOYED
The SEVERNE stand this year wasn’t just bigger – it was a technical showcase that had everyone taking notes. The SEVERNE stand this year wasn’t just bigger – it was a technical showcase that had everyone taking notes. The traditional display style was binned for a proper showroom featuring live tech demos, a curated selection of proven performers, and exclusive previews of what’s brewing in the R&D department.

PROJECT NEW HORIZON LAUNCHES
Two weeks before Gruissan, SEVERNE dropped news that sent shockwaves through the windsurfing world. 27-time World Champion and speed king Antoine Albeau was joining the team. Not just as another name on the roster – as the spearhead of “Project New Horizon.”
The mission? Simple. Chase down the next world speed record and smash through the 100km/h barrier on a windsurfer.
Defi Wind became the perfect stage for the official welcome. Hundreds gathered at the SEVERNE stand as Antoine put his signature on two massive posters, marking the beginning of something that’ll redefine what’s possible on the water. Signed postcards from the entire legend lineup – Matteo Iachino, Björn Dunkerbeck, Blanca Alabau, and Balz Müller – disappeared faster than the wind we were hoping for.
WHEN LEGENDS UNITE
The sight of these world champions standing side by side at the SEVERNE stand wasn’t lost on anyone. Photos, signatures, and conversations that’ll be talked about long after the tramuntana winds return.
The atmosphere was electric. Even without wind, the energy around Revolution HQ was undeniable. When SEVERNE took the stage with the complete race sail and board range, flanked by this unprecedented lineup of talent, then launched SEVERNE caps into the crowd – it was clear who had made an impression this weekend.

REVOLUTION CONTINUES
No wind couldn’t stop SEVERNE from bringing the stoke. While everyone were left scrambling for no wind activities, the SEVERNE stand was a mainstay in the crowd and buzzing with activity throughout all event days.
Project New Horizon is just the beginning. Antoine’s pursuit of the 100km/h barrier represents everything SEVERNE stands for – pushing boundaries, challenging conventions, refusing to accept limitations.
Defi Wind 2025 proved something that has been defined since day one: SEVERNE is leading the revolution from the ground up!
Next year’s takeover? Already in the works. And it’ll be hard to ignore.
