The full scale Defi Wind as we know it is truly back. With over 1000 participants already registered and many more planning to visit this years’ event, it is truly going to be a memorable one.

This year, participants and visitors at the Defi Wind will be able to check out the latest gear from the Severne brand, as well as, meet the Severne team at the Severne booth which also will be the centre of lots of activities throughout the event days.

The Defi Wind Superstars edition in 2021 was undoubtfully a success despite the limited entries available, but it was the perfect precursor to the “real deal” Defi Wind with over 1000 competitors. After two years without a large scale event of this type, many are looking forward to getting together with other windsurfers, racing across the marathon course in the classical Gruissan conditions, and having a good time in the process.

As a windsurfing brand where a passion for the sport is a driving force from top to bottom of the organisation, Severne will be supporting the 2022 Defi wind, and will be active onsite throughout all of the event dates at the official Severne booth.

The list of international and national Severne riders is long and will include among others;
Sara Wennekes (NED-33)
Blanca Alabau (ESP-3 – last years’ winner)
Helle Oppedal (NOR-39 – last years’ runner up)
Matteo Iachino (ITA-140)
Philip Köster (G-44)
Mateus Isaac (BRA-7)
Luuc Vanopzeeland (NED-55)
Cedric Bordes (FRA-91)
Adrien Mestre (FRA-7)
Benjamin “Babou” Augé (FRA-2)
Benoit Merceur (FRA-1159)
Nico Huguet (FRA-8)
