MATTEO OUT IN FRONT

The fifth stop of the PWA slalom world tour took place in Hvide Sande, Denmark. This spot by the western coast of Denmark is well known for its unique nature and low-pressure storms.

And it sure did live up to its reputation this time. With winds ranging from super light to nuclear, the race crew managed to complete 9 eliminations for the men and 11 for the women.

Matteo took the win after an incredibly stable performance throughout all of the days.

Also closing the top10 is Tristan Algret and Gunnar Asmussen in the 8th and 10th positions. Tristan started the event being placed in the ’40s but delivered an incredible performance to work himself into the top10. Gunnar also delivered a stable performance and was placed as high as 6th before the last day of the event.

The rest of the team also delivered many great individual elimination results, which attests to the performance of our Mach2 sails, Apex Pro masts, and Enigma booms.

During the week, all sail and board sizes were used, and the most stable performers overall truly took the top positions.

In the women’s fleet, Oda Johanne from Norway took 7th while Fulya Unlu from Turkey took 8th in a very competitive group of top performers.

One event remains on this year’s PWA slalom world tour, and that will take place in New Caledonia from 18th to 23rd of November. On the overall, Matteo is now leading going into the last event of the year. Tristan algret is currently holding on to 8th place.
