Girls On Tour vol. 4: Pozo ignites the revolution

The Pozo experience

More than 40 female riders. World-class coaching. Pozo Izquierdo’s unique conditions. Monday, July 14th delivered everything needed for an unforgettable session that pushed boundaries and showcased the growth in women’s windsurfing.

Girls on Tour Vol. 4 was supported by SEVERNE, Brunotti, Maui Ultra Fins, and Pozowinds. Documentation by @rafasoulart captured every breakthrough moment.

SEVERNE rider Pauline Katz orchestrated the fourth edition of Girls on Tour

A movement that continues to challenge the status quo in windsurfing. What started as a simple concept in 2022 has evolved into something unique: a platform where female riders advance their skills without compromise.

From first timers tackling Pozo’s notorious shorebreak to seasoned sailors dialing their next aerial, every participant received world-class guidance from Daida Moreno, Sarah-Quita Offringa, Justyna Sniady, Sol Degrieck, and Pauline herself. No passenger treatment. No holding back. Pure progression.

The mission was clear: master Pozo’s challenging conditions through expert coaching in wave reading, jumping technique, and positioning. For many, this marked their inaugural session at one of windsurfing’s most demanding venues. Others seized the opportunity to attempt their first forward loops under high level guidance.

The beach buzzed with energy as riders pushed personal limits while supporting each other’s progression. Classic SEVERNE ideology in action — dedication driving innovation, one session at a time.

Pauline’s assessment: “The energy was incredible. Everyone was pushing themselves, supporting each other, and simply enjoying being out there together. Seeing over 40 women sailing in demanding conditions shows just how much women’s windsurfing is evolving.”

The revolution continues. Follow @girlsontour__wind for the next chapter.

Scott McKercher and Federico Infantino: XXL swell up north

The forecast was too good to ignore. Big swell, clean wind, perfect tide; everything aligned for one of those sessions you remember for years. Federico Infantino had already committed to heading north when the charts lit up with solid lines marching toward Western Australia’s remote coastline. Scott McKercher made the two-day mission north specifically for this swell

OBX-WIND 2025: the community gather on the Outer Banks

OBX-WIND 2025 delivered everything a windsurfing event should be. Consistent Outer Banks wind powered Long Distance racing and Mega Slalom competition on the Pamlico Sound, while Friday’s freestyle expression session brought pros and up-and-coming sailors together. The Beer Race, giant raffle, and Halloween costume party proved that growing the sport requires more than just competition; it’s about building community. SEVERNE has backed this event for years, and watching it expand what’s possible for grassroots windsurfing makes the commitment worthwhile.
