SAIL TECHNOLOGY

SEVERNE continues to lead the way in windsurf sail construction. The flagship models, BladePro and S-1 Pro, expand the envelope of what is possible. These sails are now completely welded in CarbonFusion from the back of the sleeve to the leech.

The BladePro and S-1 Pro are ALL carbon, ALL welded, every seam and every batten pocket included; delivering a whole new level of performance.

This technology has now trickled down into the standard Blade and S-1 models, with stitchless welded foot panels and carbon load transfer strips. It lifts the build level across the whole range, and gives SEVERNE sails that distinctive feel.

DIRECT CONNECT

A system of directly connecting the sail to any hardware; mast, battens. By eliminating movement at the attachment points, energy is transferred instantly and without loss. The main benefit is faster response, but also helps stabilize the sail shape for more wind range. (XR)

Carbon Fibre load transfer strips are used in the high-load head and tack areas. New High-Tensile webbing is used to attach the tack pulley, clew ring and mast tip. Reduced volume in the batten pockets prevents batten movement inside the pocket, and the tensioner loop is directly attached to both sail body and pocket.

The S-1 now features a DirectConnect panel from the pulley to the top of the sail to carry primary loads.

D6 DACRON

New high performance Dacron used in the luff panel and batten pockets. Low stretch makes D6 more responsive, and gives it better long-term shape retention. Features a tight ripstop mesh and is highly durable.
