Masts perform an integral part of your windsurfing set up. Choosing a mast with the correct diameter, curve and stiffness ensures that the response, shaping and twist of your sail remain at the pinnacle of performance.

Every mast in every range is produced using pre-preg carbon construction. This way the resin consistency and content can be managed down to sub millilitre perfection and the fibre content and bias controlled, which optimises strength and reduces weight. For 2011, all Severne masts have a matt finish for friction-free rigging and de rigging.

At Severne, our analysis of mast performance extends far beyond the two dimensional IMCS system with only 3 reference points. All Severne masts are tested at 7 designated offsets and computer faired to precisely mirror the luff curve of the sail.

The Enigma has been developed in unison with the REFLEX program as the ultimate in race mast performance and precision. Weight and bend curve specification is measured on EVERY mast to ensure accuracy. The Enigma masts are equipped with special features such as; a UV and cam resistant red coating, reduced swing weight and increased curve consistency in the upper section of the mast. Every Enigma mast is supplied with a certificate signed by a Hardware Division technician for verification of performance.
