My last couple of months have been really good for me and I've been on the water heaps. I managed to get over to Maui for a few weeks of starboard tack training. I stayed with Connor and Ashley, and we sailed almost every day and got some fun surf at the end of my trip too. I've been back in Australia for a couple of weeks now. I stayed in Perth for a week and sorted out some stuff for Uni, then came home to Geraldton and have been in the water 2 or 3 times a day for 2 weeks. The surf has been really good, and a massive front is passing through now with a lot of wind and a new swell. The wind direction yesterday was 25kn NE and perfect for South Coronation. There was a fair bit of swell and it was just me out on my 4.3 S-1. Easily the best winter sail I've ever had in Australia. Had another fun sail this morning in bolt onshore winds, blowing over 40kn in the rain squalls. Good practise for my next trip̷Pozo. Jaeger | |

Lano Ocean Classic Yeah, it was a really fun week end down in Lano. The wind and waves gradually reduced over the 3 days, but we managed to finish a double elimination in the waves. It was hard work finding 3 waves and 3 jumps, but i managed to beat Boujmaa in the final. Ben got 3rd, Jamie Cobill 4th, and Scotty 5th. The party was pretty fun, and there was a sick fireworks show. The season here in Geraldton started off well, and then backed away for a month, but now it's really started to fire up. Ashley Baxter from Maui has come to visit to practise her port tack, and we've sailed heaps in the last 3 weeks. Hanging out for a quick break in the wind. Scotty and Boujmaa also came up from Margs for a few days, so was good to have a sail with them. The Lancelin Ocean Classic starts this week, so we're off down to Lancelin tomorrow to get a quick afternoon session before competition begins Thursday. Hopefully a good party Saturday night too. It's been a pretty busy month with windsurfing. Been out on the water heaps in Geraldton and also up North. Just got back from a week of filming up at Gnaraloo with Scotty and Matt Holder. Wasn't huge, or perfect, but was heaps of fun and we got some sick footage and sailing in. Scored a little secret session too. After we got back from there, we sailed in Gero for a few days and i had a pretty bad beating so am taking it easy now until the wind comes back. | |

It's been a sick month of windsurfing in W.A. Scotty and i did a couple of weekend runs up North and scored best ever conditions. One day was solid mast and half, and i probably did the most swimming i have ever done. I'll be heading back up in a couple of weeks with Matt Holder to get some cool water and helmet cam footage. Geraldton has been super windy the last couple of days. Not much swell, but heaps of ramps for jumping. I turned 18 last week too, so i had a pretty big week end with all my mates. | |

The last month i've been hanging out in Geraldton doing some work and a lot of surfing still. The season is very close and we've had a few fun sails in the last week. Still on pretty big gear, but windy enough to fang around. On the next good forecast, i'm planning on heading up North for a couple of days, so hopefully i can score and get some sick conditions. | |

12th August 08 Hey, Got back from Pozo, Gran Canaria about a month ago. Didn't go as well as expected over there, but that's competition, and i guess i took away a bit more knowledge about competition and myself. Super happy to be hanging out in Oz now with my family and mates. Surfing heaps and getting the odd sail in on a big storm. Been trying to keep busy by helping out a mate demolish his house for renovations too, that's pretty hard work, but good to mix it up a bit. Was planning on doing Brazil but because that was cancelled i'm just going to cruise around here, and it's only another month before the windsurfing season cranks up again anyway, so cannot wait for that.
